This NPO has set up a new service: refurbishment support for poor families or social organization with the help of retired people or school drop-outs. For 10 years, the NPO has organized recreational activities for children with mental disabilities to motivate them to make constant progress.

People Organisation for Planning and Education has set up centres in Thallakulam south of India. LES PETUNIAS
This NPO houses 60 handicapped adults in three homes in Brussels. One of the houses needs some renovation to make it more comfortable for the residents and to reduce monthly costs. They would like to double glaze the windows on the ground floor. BESIX Foundation will partly support those works. |

AFRICA 2000
This NPO fights against rural depopulation of Diarèkh in Senegal with development of training and activities for children and women. They build a school for 150 children in 2005. At present, 3 new class rooms are being built with the financial support of the Belgium National Lottery. The BESIX Foundation will partly support them in the renovation of 3 rooms and the building of 2 mud houses to develop a women's centre for local handicrafts and eco-tourism activities, health education,... We hope that the works will be completed by the end of 2009. |
