BASISSCHOOL DE TRIANGEL

This primary school for 132 children and kindergarten for 93 children is working in a very deprived area. 95% of its children are newcomers.
The school has developed a lot of activities, during and after school time (even in the children's homes), to help the children overcome their major difficulties: learning Dutch and lack of physical activities.
BESIX Foundation will support them in renovating an old sports area to organize physical activities split classes into smaller groups (more than 24 children are in less than 30 sqm) and install a language laboratory.

SAINT-AUGUSTIN

This NPO provides social education and supportive living environments for 15 children from very young to 20 year olds. BESIX Foundation will support them by installing double glazing to save energy, reduce their monthly costs and be more environmentally friendly. Reed More

PETITS BOULOTS

Helping underprivileged people take care of themselves and "stand on their own feet". The activities are divided among a dozen services: social services, youth services, help to the homeless, legal support, debt mediation, shop 'Lèzabi ", school assistance,...
Welcoming people in distress but always with the goal of encouraging them to gradually take on the challenges of their lives. This NPO has set up a new service: refurbishment support for poor families or social organization with the help of retired people or school drop-outs. JEST FARILU

For 10 years, the NPO has organized recreational activities for children with mental disabilities to motivate them to make constant progress.
They want to build a bakery for young adults with mental disabilities and so create a vocational activity that will give them a real position in society and help them to acquire new skills. Reed More

LES GLAIEULS

This NPO provides social education and supportive living environments for 16 children from 6 to 12 years old some of whom are handicapped. BESIX Foundation will support them in installing solar panels to save energy, reduce their monthly costs and be more environmentally friendly.

LE PIVOT
For 35 years now, the Pivot has been supporting the Fourth-World in Brussels.
The projects are aimed at young people, adults and entire neighbourhoods and are created in partnership with families and educators. The families asked the association to organise a school for adults: to learn to read again, to write, to calculate and also to rediscover how to answer basic questions about geography, history, science,...  BESIX Foundation will help the NPO in this project and in their work with the families. More info...

L'ILOT

They provide accommodation and support for homeless people. They want to renovate the house “160” in order to provide quality accommodation and make possible the replacement of appliances that use less energy. BESIX Foundation financed the purchase of new furniture (beds and wardrobes).

ISPAT
This NPO organises literacy programmes, vocational training for newcomers and/or underprivileged people and language integration programmes for immigrants. Ispat would like to provide computer training and BESIX Foundation will provide them with part of the necessary equipment. More info

LES COMPAGNONS DEPANNEURS

They are renovating housing for underprivileged people to enable them to live in a decent place. This association has existed for 39 years and is active in all regions.
BESIX Foundation will support the Brussels team which needs to replace a van which helps them to move people, to take furniture and to transport materials to them. Reed more

L'ANCRE

This association provides social education and supportive living environments for 15 children from 3 to 18 years old. Some are in special schools.
They would like to renovate 2 bathrooms which are in a very bad state. BESIX Foundation will support the renovation works.

LES PETUNIAS
This NPO houses 60 handicapped adults in three homes in Brussels. One of the houses needs some renovation to make it more comfortable for the residents and to reduce monthly costs. They would like to double glaze the windows on the ground floor. BESIX Foundation will partly support those works.

SOLIDARCITE

They develop a one year social services programme for young people. Those young people are volunteer (20%) or nominated by local public authorities (80%). Those young people will develop practical and social skills in three area: organisation of activities for young and old people, refurbishment of buildings and environmental activities. They will develop self-confidence and identify a direction in life. Solidarcité has already 4 teams of 8 young's in Brussels. BESIX Foundation will partly support the launch of a new group in Liège for 2 years.
