Wigwam – a sort of hut which was used for shelter for American Indians – is a crèche situated in an underprivileged part of Kessel-Lo (Leuven).
Most of their children come from very poor families or from those which have just arrived in Belgium. They want to provide these children with the best possible start in public education. This means that a lot of attention is paid to providing stimulus and enriching the children's environment and a lot of involvement with the families. It is often by supporting families, so as to bring about social integration, and creating trust, that they can make sure that the child has the necessary personal fulfillment in order to be able to move up to the kindergarden in the best way.
Wigwam contacted us to ask us to provide educational and child development material.
